The Charity Rêves

GIVING TUESDAY AT ROUCHETTE!
 

For the third year in a row, we are proud to participate in Giving Tuesday.

It is always a great pleasure for us to support the association Rêves and to help sick children to make their dreams come true!

This year we helped Avril and Camille to make their dreams come true. Our goal is to continue helping children make their dreams come true in 2023.

Avril, 8 years old, makes her dream come true thanks to you! 

Avril, 8 years old, dreamed of meeting the author and illustrator Claude Ponti, and now she has! 

Thanks to the Association Rêves, to our commitment to her and to your support, Avril spent the afternoon with Claude Ponti who showed her his workshop and told her about his work. She was delighted! This is what Colette, a volunteer with the association, had to say about Avril's afternoon. 

"We met and discovered Avril, myself and her mother. Avril is a very cute 8 year old girl and above all full of enthusiasm. Her dream is not common, to meet Claude PONTI, author of many books for young people. 

Why this dream?
Simply because she has always been a fan of all his books. 

Once the presentation was made, we went to Mr Claude PONTI's home for the meeting. Avril's eyes light up because she is so happy about this moment. Claude PONTI welcomes us very warmly. Avril spontaneously says hello to him and we feel that this moment is exceptional. Claude PONTI starts by showing Avril his whole working world, his office, the workshops where he creates his works. He explains many things to her, but Avril already knows a lot of his history.

She is quick to have him sign all the books she owns and that she has brought with her, not having them was not possible. He gives her lots of presents. We then discover her living space, garden, outside and Avril goes berry picking. 

Claude PONTI then offers Avril to help him light the fireplace in the room where we will have lunch. An authentic conviviality and as time goes by, the more exchanges are made and the more a relationship of Grandfather to granddaughter is woven between Claude PONTI and Avril. 

A lot of emotion and joy are felt and Claude PONTI is in ecstasy in front of Avril. We then share lunch with him and his wife. Avril explains that she wants to become a vet. After lunch, we play a game of Uno and the day ends with a coffee. 

Avril leaves Claude PONTI's house full of memories. She never thought she would live this moment and how many thanks I receive from Avril and her mother. I am very grateful for this beautiful day and a very good time.

To allow other sick children, like Avril, to make their dreams come true, right now and until December 1st 2021 it is Giving Tuesday with Rouchette for the benefit of the association Rêves. 10% of the amount of sales on our website will be donated to the Rêves association.

Giving Tuesday at Rouchette

Concerned to make a contribution and aware of our role as a company to support, at our level, associations, actors in favour of the most disadvantaged, the environment, etc., we regularly commit ourselves to actors in the environmental, social or societal field (Reforest'action, etc.). We are regularly involved with environmental, social or societal players (Reforest'action, etc.).

You already know our commitment to the Rêves association, which began with the "draw me the boot of your dreams" competition and the donation of €2,500 to sponsor the dream of two children, Avril and Anthony.

Today we have decided to continue to support the association Rêves by participating in Giving Tuesday 2021 for 5 days.

How can you help?

Whatever you order on our website during this period (boots, clothes, accessories, etc.) 10% of the amount will be donated to the association to allow sick children to make their dreams come true with the charity Rêves.

Where does Giving Tuesday come from?

Also known as the World Day of Giving and Solidarity, Giving Tuesday was created in the United States in 2012, in response to the commercial events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Everyone at their own level, citizens, companies and organisations can contribute to the common goal of celebrating and encouraging giving.

Today, more than 100 countries are following the movement to give greater resonance to generosity. In France, Giving Tuesday was launched for the first time in 2018.

2,500 donation for the Rêves charity  

Have you followed the adventure of our Dreams collection?

It all started with the "Draw me the boot of your dreams" competition. Raphaël, aged 8, was the winner of the competition and saw his drawing become a real boot. The boot was launched in production and sold to our distributors and on our e-commerce site.

We created this very special collection to support the Rêves Association, which makes the dreams of seriously ill children come true. In fact, it was planned that part of the profits would be donated to the association. This represents a donation of €2,500 that Rouchette is giving to the association, which will enable two children to realise their dreams.

Sébastien, the director, meets Ingrid-Hélène Guet, the director of the Rêves association, and François Masset, the treasurer, to give them a cheque for 2,500€, which will enable children to make their dreams come true.
