Transat Jacques Vabre 2021, the return of the Attanasio - Marsset duo
Rouchette is once again a partner of this fine duo who will be setting off for the 15th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre. Over the years and thanks to their feedback, our SKIPPER boot has covered many kilometres and drunk the cup many times at sea with them.
It is on Romain Attanasio's new boat, the IMOCA Fortinet - Best Western, a 2015 generation foiler (former boat used by the German skipper Boris Herrmann in the last Vendée Globe), that they will be leaving Le Havre on 7th November.
This new boat, at the cutting edge of innovation and technology, will enable the duo to aim for a place in the leading group in this ocean race, which will bring together 78 crews for this 15th edition.

Rouchette, technical partner of Romain Attanasio!
The company has joined the Sixth Ocean partner club, which Romain created to raise public awareness of the damage caused by human beings to the oceans. As part of the partnership, Rouchette is making its maritime range of products available to Romain and his team, to gather their experiences of use and to offer an ever more qualitative product.
For over two years, Romain Attanasio has been testing the Skipper during the 2019 Transat Jacques Vabre and the 2020 Vendée Globe.

THE BEGINNING OF A GREAT COLLABORATION
Romain has chosen an experienced teammate and performance specialist, Sébastien Marsset, to accompany him on the Transat Jacques Vabre.
"Sébastien Marsset has sailed a lot in monohulls, particularly with Franck Cammas. He knows his job well. I was looking for someone with the right skills to accompany me in the Transat Jacques Vabre. Sébastien has the perfect profile. We started sailing together during training sessions with the Port-La-Forêt ocean racing centre and we're going to continue sailing until October to be ready for the Jacques Vabre." Romain Attanasio
For his part, Sébastien Marsset is also looking forward to the start of the Transat Jacques Vabre on 27th October, one of the few races that does not yet feature on his list of achievements.
"I'm delighted to be on board PURE with Romain. He is organised and he knows where he wants to go. Romain has proposed an ambitious sports plan, in line with his boat and his project, which suits me perfectly. We're going to use our strengths and I'm going to try to help him as much as possible to find the controls of his IMOCA boat for the next Vendée Globe."
