Linked to our ORIGIN range, inspired by nature and designed to support everyday activities, this partnership reflects our desire to take concrete action through reforestation projects with a positive impact on the climate, biodiversity, and local communities.
Reforest’Action: Taking Action for the Forests of Tomorrow
Reforest’Action is a global player in reforestation and agroforestry whose mission is to restore and preserve forests around the world.
Its projects address major environmental and social challenges:

For 13 years, Reforest’Action has been taking concrete action for the planet by carrying out more than 1,750 projects in 47 countries, helping to plant or protect nearly 1,000 species, supporting 634 project leaders, and contributing to the creation of 2,000 jobs.
Each project is designed with local experts and closely monitored to ensure a lasting and measurable impact.
Rouchette and Reforest’Action: a long-lasting partnership
On the occasion of the launch of the ORIGIN range in 2019, we wanted to go further in our commitments by supporting reforestation alongside Reforest’Action.
The design of the ORIGIN range is directly inspired by nature, a constant source of inspiration for Rouchette. Accustomed to creating products designed to evolve in natural environments, we naturally integrate these elements into our designs.
The ORIGIN outsole pattern takes the shape of a tree, a powerful symbol of life, roots, and transmission. This graphic choice reflects our close connection to nature and clearly illustrates our commitment alongside Reforest’Action in support of reforestation and ecosystem preservation.
Available as clogs, ankle boots, and mid-calf boots, the ORIGIN range adapts to all outdoor activities. From a simple walk in the forest to a gardening session, it offers everyday comfort and flexibility.
Rouchette has already supported three projects alongside Reforest’Action, resulting in the planting of 4,600 trees.
- Lavial – Haiti: In the Jacmel Valley, this large-scale agroforestry project aimed to reforest heavily degraded areas around villages and develop fruit and forest systems to restore ecosystems, while generating additional income for local communities.
- Morogoro – Tanzania: Supported in partnership with the local NGO Agriwezesha and Maison Hennessy, this 800-hectare agroforestry project helped restore a forest reserve of high ecological value and guided around 6,000 farmers toward sustainable practices, enhancing biodiversity and soil quality.
- Piura – Peru: This project focused on regenerating natural ecosystems in the highlands of Piura, combating erosion and desertification by restoring degraded soils through the planting of suitable trees and the introduction of agroforestry systems, with benefits for water, climate, and local farmers.

Rouchette Strengthens Its Partnership with Reforest’Action by Supporting the Agroforestry Project in Malawi
In 2026, our ORIGIN range received a makeover with the addition of new products. True to our values, we wanted to link this renewal to a concrete commitment. That is why Rouchette is now supporting a major project led by Reforest’Action in the Lilongwe district of Malawi.
A Project in the Heart of East Africa
Malawi faces alarming deforestation (approximately 33,000 hectares lost each year), threatening both biodiversity and the survival of local communities that rely on subsistence agriculture.
Launched with the support of the local NGO Inter Aide, this agroforestry project does more than plant trees: it creates a protective ecosystem around farmland.
Project Goals:

The project is implemented in rural areas surrounding the capital, Lilongwe, as part of a multi-year program aiming to plant 300,000 trees.

Restoring land: By planting specific species along field borders, the project combats soil erosion and restores natural fertility without encroaching on food crops.

Supporting community autonomy: Villagers themselves manage the nurseries and maintain the plants. The dual goal is to ensure food security and provide sustainable energy autonomy through firewood production, reducing the need to cut down remaining natural forests.
Directly connected to our ORIGIN range, this commitment reflects our desire to offer durable products rooted in nature and respectful of ecosystems.
