Rouchette, technical partner of Initiatives-Cœur

A sporting adventure to help children

For over 10 years, Initiatives-Cœur has been setting sail in support of a vital cause: enabling children with heart defects to undergo surgery thanks to the work carried out by the charity Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque.

Founded in 2009, Initiatives-Cœur combines sporting achievement, community engagement and solidarity. Every race, every social media post and every committed partner helps to raise awareness of this worthy cause and fund it.

Thanks to this collective effort, more than 500 children have already received treatment and undergone surgery, thanks to the support provided to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, a charity that welcomes children with heart conditions to France from countries where they cannot be treated

Equipping those who embrace adventure every day

Because life on an offshore racing team isn’t just about sailing, it’s essential to have kit that’s suited to life on board – whether you’re relaxing in the office or facing the demanding conditions of the maritime environment.

As part of this partnership, Rouchette supplies shoes and boots to the members of the Initiatives-Cœur team. Designed to withstand damp, sea spray and slippery surfaces, the ULYSSE SHORE boot accompanies the whole team on their boat trips. Our BASALTE safety shoes accompany them at the shipyard and during boat preparation and maintenance operations. And to match the Initiatives-Cœur colours, the team wears our red KOSMIK clogs to ensure comfort in all other situations.

Comfort, grip and protection are essential qualities for moving around safely in a marine environment, and this is precisely what we aim for in the development of our products.

On 7 June 2026, at the start of the Vendée Arctique, Violette Dorange, a young skipper to whom Samantha Davies has passed the torch, set off down the channel wearing her KOSMIK clogs. A lightweight and comfortable model that supports her as she prepares for this new offshore adventure. She has taken care to personalise them by adding her own touches to the holes in the clogs.

Dimanche, le chenal des Sables-d’Olonne a vibré une nouvelle fois. Les embrassades, les regards,

Shared values

Beyond the technical aspects, this partnership is based on values we share: commitment, pushing oneself to the limit, team spirit and the desire to work towards a better future.

Supporting Initiatives-Cœur means taking part in an exceptional sporting adventure whilst contributing to a project that is, above all, meaningful.

We are delighted to bring our expertise and know-how to this wonderful human and maritime adventure.

VENDEE ARCTIC 2026

Having made history by becoming the youngest female sailor to complete the 2024 Vendée Globe, Violette Dorange has set her sights on the 2026 Vendée Arctique, having undergone rigorous physical training alongside Samantha, her fitness coach.

This edition was particularly challenging: having lost her largest headsail at the end of the fourth day and faced with rough conditions off the coast of Ireland, Violette had to show determination and adaptability throughout the race. She also became the second woman to cross the Arctic Circle solo aboard an IMOCA in competition.

After 8 days, 16 hours and 21 minutes at sea, Violette Dorange crossed the finish line in third place, delivering a superb performance in this demanding race.
