Objective 1,000 km
This is the second time our Rouchette team has taken up the MOVE FOR MUCO challenge! Organised by the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose to raise awareness of this disease and to raise funds, this connected sports challenge is done in teams. The goal is to do at least 34km each in 34 days.
From 8 April to 11 May, our team will take up this challenge by accumulating kilometres by walking, running or even cycling!
Why 34?
34, because today, despite the enormous progress in the treatment of cystic fibrosis, a patient dies on average at the age of 34. This challenge is a symbolic way to push back this barrier and to give hope to patients and their families.
This year, our team wants to do even more! Our goal for this new edition is to reach 1,000km all together.
A donation of €1,000 to the charity Vaincre la Mucoviscidose
After a team commitment to take up the #MoveForMuco sporting challenge and 890km in the boots and finally in the legs, Rouchette has decided to get even more involved.
We have made a donation of €1,000 to the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose, of which Maxime Sorel is the national sponsor and for which he wears the colours during these races, particularly during the Vendée Globe 2020.
At our level, we are committed to supporting associations whose action is essential for society and the environment today.
ROUCHETTE MOVE FOR MUCO !
As a company, we are convinced that we have a role to play in society, and this includes involvement with associations. We are committed on a daily basis to supporting causes that are close to our hearts, and the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose is one of them!
For the first time, they are organising a connected sports challenge, the objective for each participant is to complete at least 34km in 20 days, from 17 April to 7 May, by walking, running, cycling or even swimming.
We know this association thanks to the skipper Maxime Sorel, who is the national sponsor. An auction of his equipment was held following the Vendée Globe 2020, his SKIPPER Rouchette boots were sold at 350€ for the benefit of the association.
We decided to continue our commitment and go even further by creating a Rouchette team for this connected sports challenge. 17 of our employees accepted to take up the #MOVEFORMUCO challenge.
During these 20 days of challenge, thanks to the efforts of our team, we have covered 890 km!
